Balances and payouts
A cached balance always equals the sum of its ledger entries.
Each payout equals what was earned, minus fees and refunds.
Accounts without credit never go below zero.
Coupons and promotions
A coupon is never used more than its cap.
Single-use codes are redeemed once per customer.
A discount never exceeds what it applies to.
Orders and refunds
An order is refunded no more than once in total.
Cancelled orders never get a shipment.
No money is taken without an order behind it.
Inventory
Stock on hand never goes negative.
Units sold never exceed units available.
Reservations past their expiry free their units.
Plans and entitlements
Paid features are only on for accounts with an active plan.
Active seats stay within the plan.
Accounts whose trial ended lose trial access.
Access and tenancy
Child rows always belong to the same tenant as their parent.
Admin rights exist only for approved users.
Every table with tenant data has a row-level security policy.
